Title :
Global warming.
Thesis :
Global warming is one of the world’s biggest problems.
Argument :
1. The
raising of sea levels around the world.
2. Unstable
climate.
3. The
extinction of a large number of
species.
Recommendation :
We should prevent global warming.
Global Warming
Global warming
is one of the world’s biggest problems. Global warming is the raising of the
average temperature of Earth's climate system. Global warming gives a lot of
problems for a living thing. These are some of the global warming’s impacts:
First, the
raising of sea levels around the world. When the temperature of the atmosphere increases, the temperature of the ocean surface
layer also increases. As a result,
the volume of sea water will increase due to the effect of anomalous water and the sea level
also higher. In addition, as a result of global warming, the polar ice had
melted (especially around Greenland). The melting ice also increases the volume
of sea water on the earth. During the 20th century, sea levels around the world has increased
about 10-25 cm. Scientists have also
predicted that in
the 21st century sea level
will continue to rise
about 9-88 cm.
Second,
unstable climate, during the process of global warming, the
northern part of the earth will
heat up more quickly than other areas. This causes a lot of icebergs melt
and the land in the area will be
smaller. Ice floating in the northern waters would be reduced. As a result, a region that was experiencing light snowfall, maybe someday will not
experience it again due to global warming.
Third,
the extinction of a large number
of species,
one of the examples of endangered animal
is polar bears. In 2006,
the population of polar bears in the world is only 25,000 tails. So,
they are categorized as endangered
animal. Polar bears use ice floes as the
foundation for hunting seals.
With the global warming, the sea of ice in the North Pole is melting faster and impact
on polar bear hunting. If they continue to fail to obtain food, they
threatened to starve to death because they do not have the energy to hunt for food.
Responding to the
impact of global warming, we should prevent global warming by saving the use of
energy such as turning off the light when we do not use it. We also can do a million trees planting.
